The registration on this A340-211 is A7-HHK (msn 026). It's assigned to the Royal/VIP section of Qatar Airways known as "Amiri Flight." A rare bird indeed; and she's a long way from Doha. It was first spotted this morning, and was still here in the afternoon. It's the first A340 I've seen here.
wow, cool
ReplyDeleteWhere ever it heads to next, it might have to make a stop at HNL or KOA to fuel up before heading acrosst the Pacific, since OGG's Rwy 2/20 may be too short for a fully fueled A340.
ReplyDeleteStill here this afternoon. It would be perfect if it departs on Friday after I get my haircut but before I go to COSTCO...
ReplyDeleteStill here Friday afternoon. Hard to get a good close-up. They're keeping an eye on it.
ReplyDeletePassenger jets with 4 engines are rare these days.
ReplyDeleteThis rig departed sometime between yesterday morning and this morning. Party of 15 had been staying at the Four Seasons.
