Volga-Dnepr's RA-82079


Another An-124-100 Ruslan of Volga-Dnepr has been spotted in HNL. RA-82079 (c/n 9773052062157) was parked at the North Ramp hard-stands for the past few nights. Volga-Dnepr has been contracted by the U.S. Government to fly out-sized cargo for the upcoming deployment of troops to Afghanistan.

    The HMH-363 "Red Lions" are deploying from MCAF Kāne‘ohe Bay, which some squadron members left last night.

    Think of the ironies...The US is chartering a Russian plane to fly oversize cargo to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban that the CIA trained to fight the Russians trying to invade Afghanistan...instead of using C-5 Galaxies that were built specifically to carry said oversize cargo to places such as Afghanistan.
