Pacific Wings shut down its Hawai‘i operations today. The Kahului-based airline decided to close its doors here to concentrate efforts on its Essential Air Service (EAS) contracts on the mainland.
With Pacific Wings gone, this leaves MUE without scheduled passenger flights.

No loss for Kamuela as air fare on Pacific Wings was $435 each way. Perhaps Island Air or Mokulele Airlines will fill the gap. Long ago I used to fly there on Hawaiian Airlines.
ReplyDeletePacific Wings is still flying. What is the story with this?
ReplyDeleteWhat you may have seen was a ferry flight back to the mainland or OGG. There are no Pacific Wings Caravans at HNL as of yesterday. Last i saw, N302PW was sitting on the Pacific Avionics/Anderson Aviation ramp about 2 weeks ago.
