Phenix Jet Cayman's VP-CTT (c/n 38751, l/n 3796) is making a stop at HNL today from GED, with a stop at LAX, as CPJ88. This is this 737-7ZH BBJ's second HNL stopover this year. VP-CTT arrived at GED on 26 May, and the airport has a facility that specializes in business jet cabin interiors.

Phenix Jet Cayman's 737-7ZH BBJ, VP-CTT (c/n 38751, l/n 3796), is making its first HNL stop for 2026. Flying as CPJ88, this BBJ arrived from NRT this morning.

Aloha Airlines' N741AL

This quarter's HNL RareBirds Classic Aloha Airlines' tribute features N741AL "Olopana" (c/n 28641, l/n 809, f/n 741). This 737-76N is seen above, was photographed while under tow from the RON Ramp at SNA, as it would depart for OGG, prior to my flight to HNL. It was one of two Aloha 737-76Ns that overnighted at SNA.

28641's History:

Mar 2001: Delivered to Aloha Airlines as N741AL "Olopana", under lease from GECAS.

Mar 2008: Withdrawn from service due to airline shutdown, and returned to GECAS a month later.

Jan 2009: Leased to Arik Air as 5N-MJJ "City of Benin".

Jun 2018: Stored at LOS [Murtalla Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Nigeria].

Nov 2021: Acquired by AerCap, the lease transferred, and remains in storage.

Aloha Airlines' N743AL

This quarter's edition of "HNL RareBirds Classic" features Aloha Airlines' 737-76N, N743AL "Paʻao" (c/n 28654, l/n 986), seconds from touching down on Runway 26R in 2005. 2026 would have been Aloha Airlines' 80th anniversary had Aloha still existed. In honor of their anniversary, our four quarterly HNL RareBirds Classics this year will feature Aloha 737s.

28654's History:

Oct 2001: Delivered to Aloha Airlines as N316ML, under lease from GECAS.

Jan 2002: Re-registered as N743AL, and named "Paʻao".

Dec 2005: Leased to Air-Berlin as D-ABBS.

___ 2007: Sold to Genesis Leasing, and the lease transferred.

Jan 2008: Painted in the 2007 livery.

Mar 2010: Sold to AerCap, and the lease transferred.

Mar 2013: Leased to Southwest Airlines as N7811F.

Jan 2022: Painted in the current livery.

Jan 2023: Purchased by Southwest Airlines.

Jun 2025: Withdrawn from service, and stored at BHM.

N888TY

N888TY (c/n 29749, l/n 456), a 737-7AH BBJ owned by Ty Air, is making a stop at HNL from CRK. It arrived in the early morning hours, and is scheduled to continue onto SBA later in the day.

May 2003: Acquired by BB Five Inc as N134AR.

Mar 2005: Acquired by Ty Air as N888TY.

FAC-0001 (c/n 29272, l/n 323), the Fuerza Aerea Colombiana's 737-74V BBJ, is making a fuel stop at HIK as it returns to BOG from KIX. It will continue onto CUN from HIK.

N584FA

Nomadic Aviation is ferrying N584FA (c/n 35384, l/n 2446) for FTAI Aviation. This 737-71B is being flown from CAN to NHZ, via GUM, OGG, and DTW, as OMD125, to be parted out and scrapped. It's making a daytime stopover at OGG today.

35384's History:

Dec 2007: Delivered to China Southern Airlines as B-5251.

May 2022: Sold to CALC, and leased back.

Feb 2025: Withdrawn from service, and stored at CAN.

Apr 2025: Acquired by FTAI Aviation.

N561FA

Nomadic Aviation is ferrying N561FA (c/n 36351, l/n 2077) from CGO [Xinzheng international Airport, Zhengzhou, Henan, China] to BXM [Brunswick Executive Airport, Brunswick, ME], via GUM, OGG, and DTW, as OMD124. This 737-71B was acquired by Fortress Transportation (FTAI), and is scheduled to be parted out and scrapped.

PF Global Aviation's N9PF (c/n 37583, l/n 2869) is making a stop at HNL from FLL. This 737-7HZ BBJ is wearing a new livery since we last got it in July 2023.

HL7227 (c/n 35977, l/n 2047), a 737-7HF BBJ owned by the Hanwha Chemical Corporation, is making a stop at HNL  from GMP today.

Phenix Jet's 737-7ZH BBJ, VP-CTT (c/n 38751, l/n 3796), is making another stop at HNL. This time, flying as CPJ88, from GED [Delaware Coastal Airport, Georgetown, DE], via DAY [James M Cox Dayton International Airport, Dayton, OH]. This BBJ made a stop at HNL this past February.

N788DP (c/n 29441, l/n 111), a 737-79U BBJ owned by DP World FZE, is making a stop at HNL.

N480CH (c/n 29024, l/n 131), a 737-72T BBJ owned by Crescent Heights, is making a stop at HNL from MFM [Macau International Airport, Taipa Island, Macau].

N353FT

Nomadic Aviation is ferrying N353FT (c/n 35378, l/n 2346) from CAN to P08, via GUM and JRF. This 737-71B, owned by Fortress Transport (FTAI) is flying as OMD254, and will make a brief late-night fuel stop at JRF. It's the second 737-71B that Nomadic is ferrying through JRF in three days, and like the other 700, this one will be parted out and scrapped by eCube.
