Vietnam Airlines To Lease 19 More 737-8s

CH-Aviation reports that Vietnam Airlines will be dry-leasing an additional 19 737-8s from three lessors. These 737-8s are slated to be delivered in 2028. That is ahead of the airline's order for 50 that were placed in this past February, whose deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2030.

Vietnam Airlines Finalizes 737-8 Order

Boeing announced today that Vietnam Airlines has finalized their order for 50 737-8s, as the airline continues to modernize its fleet, and plans for route expansion across Southeast Asia. No timetable was given as to when Vietnam Airlines will begin to take delivery.

Vietnam Airlines Orders 50 737-8s

Boeing announced today, that Vietnam Airlines has placed a firm order for 50 737-8s. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2025. Hopefully these 737s will stop through HNL on their delivery flights.

Vietnam Airlines joins competitor VietJetAir with 737MAX series in this Southeast Asian nation. VietJetAir has an order for 200 737MAXs, with deliveries slated to begin in 2024.
