Air Niugini's P2-PGC

Air Niugini is taking delivery of their second A220-300 (BD-500-1A11) this month. P2-PGC (msn 55410) is making its delivery flight from YMX to POM, with overnight stops at YVR, HNL, and NAN, as ANG6050. It's making its HNL stop tonight.

Air Niugini's P2-PGB

Air Niugini is taking delivery of their second A220-300. P2-PGB (msn 55406) is making its delivery flight from YMX to POM, via YVR, HNL and NAN. It's making its overnight stop at HNL tonight.

Air Niugini's P2-PGA

Air Niugini is taking delivery of their first A220-300, P2-PGA (msn 55388). It's making its delivery flight from YMX to POM, via HNL and NAN, as ANG50. Its HNL stop will be a brief fuel stop. P2-PGA was painted in a special livery commemorating Papua New Guinea's 50 anniversary of independence. This is the first of three A220-300s that are being leased from Azorra.

Air Niugini Orders Two More A220s

Airbus announced that Air Niugini has placed an order for two additional A220-100s to its original order for six A220-100s. The airline also has lease agreements for three A220-300s. Airbus also announced that Air Niugini's first A220 has entered its final assembly phase at Montréal-Mirabel.

Air Niugini's C-FFOY

Air Niugini is taking delivery of their fourth Dash8-Q400, with C-FFOY (msn 4327). This Dash8-402Q is making its delivery flight from YQA to POM, via YLK, YWG, YYJ, HNL, and MAJ.

4327'S History:
Dec 2010: Delivered to Olympic Air as SX-OBH, under lease from MIG Aviation.
Jly 2012: Sold to Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), and the lease transferred.
Jan 2020: Air ambulance decals added.
Jun 2022: WIthdrawn from service, and stored at EXT.
Aug 2022: Re-registered as OY-FFA, and ferried to YYZ for storage.
Oct 2022: Due to lease to Connect Airlines as N885WM (f/n 885), but not taken up.
Nov 2022: Ferried to YQA for storage.
May 2024: Acquired by World Wide Ferry as C-FFOY to prep for Air Niugini.


26 October 2024 UPDATE
This Q400 has been registered as P2-PXT.

Air Niugini Orders Six A220s

Air Niugini confirmed a firm order for six Airbus A220-100s today, as part of its fleet renewal program. The airline will also lease two more A220-100s and three A220-300s. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2025.

Air Niugini's P2-PXD

Air Niugini is returning P2-PXD (c/n 28007, l/n 136) to its lessor, DAE Capital. This 737-7L9 is making its ferry flight from POM to BYH [Arkansas International Airport, Blytheville, AR] (via HNL) as ANG6001. It's pictured above a few hours prior to its flight to BYH.

Nov 1998: Delivered to Maersk Air as OY-MRD.
Feb 2002: Sold to SAAM ad leased back.
Sep 2004: Painted in the new Maersk livery.
Sep 2005: Sold to Sterling Airlines as OY-MRD, withdrawn from service in Oct 2008.
Jan 2008: Painted to the Sterling livery.
Dec 2008: Sold to DAE Capital as D-AABH.
Apr 2009: Leased to Astreaus as G-STRN.
May 2009: Subleased to Iceland Express.
Oct 2011: Returned to Astreaus.
Nov 2011: Returned to DAE Capital as D-ALAD.
Jul 2012: Leased to Air Niugini as P2-PXD, with Kokoda Trail special livery.
Jun 2014: Painted in the XV Pacific Games special livery.
May 2016: Painted in the standard Air Niugini livery.

Air Niugini Orders 737 MAX8s

Air Niugini [PX/ANG] (New Guinea) placed an order for four 737 MAX8s during the Singapore Air Show, with deliveries beginning in 2020.

Air Niugini's P2-ANA

Air Niugini's [PX/ANG] 767-366ER, P2-ANA (c/n 24541, l/n 275), will be making a stop at HNL from POM [Port Moresby, New Guinea], as it ferries to CEW [Crestview, FL]. It's making its ferry flight as ANG6002, as it's lease has expired.
