Aug 2020: Acquired Automatic LLC, registered as N288AU, and ferried to SJO for freighter conversion.

Dec 2020: Leased to Poste Air Cargo as EI-GUA.

Dec 2024: Withdrawn from service, and stored at FCO.

Jun 2025: Returned to lessor, and ferried to MZJ for storage.

Jly 2025: Re-registered as N888AU.

Aloha Air Cargo's N303KH Being Parted Out

Northern Air Cargo's N401YK

Northern Air Cargo's N401YK (c/n 25860, l/n 2545) is returning to HNL from ANC (via OAK) as AAH9401. This 737-436F had been ferried up to SEA, via OAK, as AAH9401, on 01 November to fly cargo in Alaska.

20 December 2025 UPDATE

N401YK returned to Northern Air Cargo today. It departed for SEA as NAC9401.

Aloha Air Cargo's N303KH To Storage

Northern Air Cargo ferried N303KH "Kukunaokalā" (c/n 25606, l/n 3123) from ANC to MZJ for onward storage on 29 September. This 737-319F made its ferry flight as NAC9303, as its being returned to its lessor, Automatic LLC. It was withdrawn from service on 07 August, and stored at ANC.

Aloha Air Cargo is taking delivery of N440KH (c/n 28889, l/n 3000). This 737-490F, under lease from Automatic LLC, is making its delivery flight from OPF to HNL, via OAK, as AAH9440.

Dec 2017: Delivered to Flair Airlines as C-FLHE.

Aug 2020: Acquired by Automatic LLC as N889AU, and converted to a freighter.

Jan 2021: Leased to Poste Air Cargo as EI-GUB.

Jly 2025: Returned to lessor, and ferried to DHN, then OPF, for prep for Aloha Air Cargo.

Aloha Air Cargo's N304KH Ferries To Alaska

Aloha Air Cargo is ferrying N304KH "Kōlea Nui" (c/n 28054, l/n 3016, f/n 304) from HNL to ANC to operate for Northern Air Cargo. This 737-3Q8F is making its ferry flight as NAC9304.

Northern Air Cargo To End 767-300ERF Operations

Saltchuk announced that they will end their 767-300ERF operations in October 2025, as part of a streamlining of operations. This will affect Aloha Air Cargo, Northern Air Cargo, and Strat Air. Northern Air Cargo operates the 767-300ERFs for Aloha Air Cargo and Strat Air.

Northern Air Cargo said that they, and Aloha Air Cargo, will focus on their respective markets in Alaska and Hawai‘i, with 737 freighters.

Aloha Air Cargo's N302KH Returned to Lessor

Northern Air Cargo is ferrying N302KH "Kahanuola" (c/n 27905, l/n 2705) from ANC to BXM [Brunswick Executive Airport, Brunswick, ME], via SLC today. This 737-330F is flying as NAC9302, and is being returned to its lessor, Automatic LLC, and headed for storage.

Aloha Air Cargo's N302KH To NAC

Aloha Air Cargo is ferrying N302KH "Kahanuola" (c/n 27905, l/n 2705) from HNL to ANC, as it's being transferred to Northern Air Cargo. This 737-330F is ferrying as NAC9302.

Aloha Air Cargo To End HNL-LAX Service

FreightWaves.com reports that Aloha Air Cargo will end its HNL-LAX 767-300F air cargo service on 01 June 2024. Citing weak demand from a competitive market, the airline will shelve the route. Their 737 inter-island operation will continue.

Northern Air Cargo's N403YK

Northern Air Cargo's N403YK (c/n 25842, l/n 2228) is making a stop at HNL from TNN, via GUM and MAJ as AAH9403. This 737-436F will be joining the Aloha Air Cargo fleet as the third 737-400F, along with N405YK and N407YK.

N403YK stopped through ITO in January, on its way to TNN from SLC (via OAK, ITO, MAJ, and GUM) for maintenance as NAC9403.

Aloha Air Cargo's N360WA

Northern Air Cargo had their N360WA (c/n 23553, l/n 1406) painted in the Aloha Air Cargo livery. This 737-301F was ferried to LIM, via ONT, MIA, and KIN, as AAH9360 this past March for heavy maintenance. It made its return flight to HNL from LIM, via KIN, MIA, and OAK, as AAH9360 this morning. It should enter service within a few days.

Aloha Air Cargo's N405YK

Aloha Air Cargo will be taking delivery their first full-liveried 737-400F, with N405YK (c/n 25267, l/n 2131, f/n 405). This 737-436F will be leased from NAS Aircraft Leasing Company, a division of parent company Saltchuk Resources. It's making its way from YHM, and presently at YVR as NAC9405. No date has been set as to when it will arrive at HNL.

Oct 1991: Delivered to British Airways as G-DOCA "River Balinderry" in the Landor livery.

Apr 1999: Painted in the World Tails livery called "Benyhone Scotland".

Jan 2006: Tail section repainted to the standard British Airways livery.

Nov 2014: Withdrawn from service, and stored at VCV.

Oct 2015: Acquired by Automatic LLC, registered as N267AT, and converted to a freighter at TPA.

Oct 2017: Acquired by Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM).

Nov 2017: Leased to West Atlantic UK as G-NPTY.

Feb 2020: Withdrawn from service, returned to CAM, and stored at TPA.

Mar 2020: Leased to Northern Air Cargo as N405YK.

Jly 2020: Acquired by NAS Aircraft Leasing, and put into service.

Jun 2022: Ferried to YHM for heavy maintenance, and repaint for Aloha Air Cargo.

20 Jan 2023 UPDATE

N405YK arrived at HNL today as NAC9405, after a short stint of hauling freight in Alaska for sister-company NAC.

Aloha Air Cargoʻs Parent Looks To Upgrade Fleet

Aloha Air Cargo‘s parent company, Northern Aviation Services, is looking into upgrading its 737-300F and -400F fleet for both Aloha and Northern Air Cargo. In a CH-Aviation article, the holding company is looking into 737-700Fs, 737-800Fs, and even ATR-Fs as fleet renewal aircraft. It's currently just an exploratory phase.

Aloha Air Cargo's N54AU

Aloha Air Cargo took delivery of N54AU (c/n 28054, l/n 3016) today. This 737-3Q8F was painted at GEG, and arrived from OAK as AAH304. It will be re-registered as N304KH. 

N54AU's History:

Apr 1998: Delivered to Air Vanuatu as YJ-AV18, leased from ILFC.

Jan 2008: Painted into their current livery.

Jly 2008: Leased to bmibaby as G-TOYI "Geordie Baby".

Jan 2011: Renamed as "tinylife baby".

Sep 2014: Bought by Automatic LLC as N54AU, and converted to a Quick Change.

Mar 2015: Leased to Mistral Air as EI-FGX, and a logo jet for PosteItaliane.

May 2019: Stored at SJO.

Mar 2021: Acquired by Northern Air Cargo, and painted to Aloha Air Cargo livery at GEG.

Apr 2021: Delivered to Aloha Air Cargo.

Aloha Air Cargo's N361NC Flown To OPF

Aloha Air Cargo, and it's parent company Saltchuk Corporation, has ferried N361NC (c/n 23260, l/n 1146) from HNL to OPF, via OAK. This 737-301SF is being ferried for storage, as it's being put up for sale.

Aloha Air Cargo's New Service

Aloha Air Cargo has launched new service between ONT [Ontario, CA] and GSO [Greensboro, NC] as AAH710/AAH711 today. The airline moved N301KH "Kū Haʻaheo" (c/n 27904, l/n 2691), a 737-330SF, was ferried to ONT (via OAK) on May 29th.

According to sources, the route, flying for the US Postal Service, is scheduled to last a couple of months, but is open to be extended.

Aloha Air Cargo Returns N361NC

Aloha Air Cargo returned N361NC (c/n 23260, l/n 1146) to its sister company, Northern Air Cargo, today. This 737-301F is ferrying from HNL to YLW [Kelowna, BC], via OAK as AAH361.

Aloha Air Cargo's N399CM

Aloha Air Cargo is wet-leasing N399CM (c/n 25451, l/n 498), a 767-323ERF, from Cargo Air Management. It's been ferried from ROW [Roswell, NM] to ILN [Wilmington, DE] before making its way to HNL. The 767, using the Air Transport International flight coding [8C/ATN], was ferried to LAX to begin service this past Sunday, where it made the first flight to HNL yesterday as ATN7001. It will make its return to LAX this evening as ATN7002.

According to Skyliners, Cargo Air Management's holding company Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) is leasing three 767-300ERFs to Northern Air Cargo Group on seven-year contracts. One will be going to Aloha Air Cargo, another to Strat Air [Florida], and the third to Northern Air Cargo. There is also an option for a fourth 767-300ERF.

25451 was originally delivered to American Airlines in May 1993 as N382AN (f/n 382). In January 2010, it had Blended Winglets installed, and flew with American until November 2016. Cargo Aircraft Management acquired this 767-323ER in March 2017, and had it converted to a freighter in Tel Aviv, Israel, the next month.
