Maui Now reports that Southern Airways Express, sister company to Mokulele Airlines, will begin Beech 1900 service between HNL and MKK and LNY sometime this fall. It's pending governmental approval, but the 19-seat airliner will be able to better serve the communities of Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i.

ZK-VAB
ZK-VAB (msn UE-302), a Beechcraft 1900D registered to Vincent Aviation (New Zealand) has made its way to HNL from AKL, via TBU [Fua‘amotu International Airport, Nuku‘alofa, Tonga]. It's parked on the Anderson Aviation / Pacific Avionics ramp. The owner has been placed in receivership by the New Zealand government. The aircraft was delivered new to Vincent Aviation in May 2001. MRC Aviation reports that ZK-VAB is possibly headed for Canada.

Corporate Air's N205CA
Corporate Air recently brought in another B1900C, N205CA (msn UC-103), to help with the inter-island US Postal Service contract. The colorful B1900C is seen above on the South Ramp.

West Wing Aviation's N330DH
A Beech 1900D of West Wing Aviation (Australia), N330DH (msn UE-403), is returning from Down Under, and headed to the mainland. N330DH has made a stop at HNL from Australia via PPG and CXI. It was registered as VH-XDU in Australia.
N330DH is owned by 1900 Delta Holding Company (Dover, DE), and was originally with CommutAir (Continental Connection) as N857CA.

Alpine Air's N410UB Lost

Alpine Air's N410UB, a Beech 1900C (msn UC70), and its pilot were lost while it was approaching the Lihue Airport on the island of Kaua‘i, early Monday morning. It was on a mail delivery run from HNL to LIH. Alpine Air (5A/AIP) has the US Postal Service contract to transport mail between the Hawaiian Islands.
Our prayers go out to the family, friends, and co-workers of the missing pilot.
