Eastern Air Express' N737AT

Eastern Air Express is now operating Hillwood Airways' 737-7HJC BBJ, N737AT (c/n 36756, l/n 2405). It made a stop at HNL from RIC, via SJC as HWA1301 on 28-29 October. It departed for LIH today with the same flight code. CH-Aviation reports that Hillwood began using the Eastern name this month, following the completed acquisition by the latter, but still using the Hillwood flight codes.

Eastern Airlines Acquires Hillwood Airways

Ch-Aviation reports that Eastern Airlines parent company, Eastern Air Holdings, has fully acquired charter operator  Hillwood Airways. Both Eastern and Hillwood are expected to continue as separate entities.

No mention was given as to the future of the exclusive Hillwood charter flights to OGG, especially in light of the wildfires that devastated both Kula (UpCountry) and Lāhaina (West Maui) three weeks ago.

CH-Aviation.com reports that Hillwood Airways has begun operating a "members-only" 737-700 charter flight between west coast cities and OGG. Most recently, N737AT (c/n 36756, l/n 2405), 737-7HJC BBJ, operated from BFI to OGG as HWA1322.

Hillwood Airlines's N737AT

Hillwood Airways' [HWA] (Fort Worth, TX) N737AT (c/n 36756, l/n 2405), a 737-7HJC BBJ, is making a stop at HNL from AFW [Fort Worth, TX] as HWA170.

This BBJ has a quick-change layout to either fly cargo, or up to 94 passengers.

36756 was originally delivered to the US Department of Defense in December 2007 as N529PP, with the quick-change capability (similar to the US Navy's C-40Bs). In October 2014, it was re-registered as N737AT. It was sold to Hillwood Airways in July 2017.
