Icelandair's TF-FIC

Icelandair's TF-FIC (c/n 30735, l/n 91) is making a brief fuel stop at HNL tonight from PPT as ICE1432. This 757-23N, wearing the Abercrombie & Kent special livery, will continue onto LAX, as part of a global charter flight. TF-FIC has been here before in the Abercrombie & Kent livery, while on other exclusive tours.

Icelandair’s TF-LLL

Icelandair’s TF-LLL “Þríhnúkagígur” (c/n 29307, l/n 924) is making an overnight stop at HNL on its around-the-world charter. This 757-256, wearing the National Geographic special livery, is flying as ICE1245. It will continue onto APW tomorrow.

29307’s History:

May 2000: Delivered to Iberia as EC-HIQ “Honduras”, leased from Babcock & Brown.

Aug 2005: Leased to Atlasjet as TC-OGS.

Jun 2006: Subleased to Ethiopian Airlines for ten months.

Mar 2008: Subleased to Saudi Arabian Airlines for 33 months.

Jun 2011: Subleased to Saudi Arabian Airlines for six months.

Apr 2012: Leased to Titan Airways, and subleased to Icelandair as TF-IST “Grimsvötn”.

Dec 2013: Returned to Titan Airways.

Jun 2014: Sold to AirCo, and leased to La Compagnie as F-HTAG.

Dec 2019: Leased to TACV Cabo Verde Airlines as D4-CCH.

Jan 2021: Acquired by Icelandair as TF-LLL “Þríhnúkagígur”.

Sep 2022: Painted in the National Geographic Society special livery, and flies charters for NGS.

Icelandair's TF-FIC

Icelandair's TF-FIC "Magni" (c/n 30735, l/n 931), is making a stop at HNL on an around the globe private charter flight for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The flight, ICE1932, originated from HAM, and has made stops at YQX, YXY, KOA, and HNL. It will return to KOA later today.

This 757 is all white, except for the large Albert Ballin titles. He was the founder of Hapag (of Hapag-Lloyd), which was a shipping company that was based in Hamburg.

Icelandair's TF-FIC "Magni" (c/n 30735, l/n 931), their Abercrombie & Kent logo jet 757-23N, has made a stop at HNL from BFI as ICE1408. This flight, which originated from KEF, is part of the around-the-globe charter flight that Abercrombie & Kent are known for.

30735's History:

Jun 2000: Delivered to American Trans Air as N526AT (f/n 526).

Mar 2003: Airline re-brands as ATA Airlines.

Feb 2006: Acquired by GECAS, and leased to VIM Airlines as EI-LTY.

Jly 2008: Leased to Aurela as LY-SKJ.

Mar 2011: Acquired by Icelandair as TF-FIC.

May 2011: Operated for the United Nations.

Mar 2012: Leased to Air Niugini.

Apr 2014: Returned to Icelandair.

Icelandair's TF-LLX

Icelandair's 757-256, TF-LLX "Skjalbreiður (c/n 29311, l/n 940), is making a stop at HNL from POM [Port Moresby, New Guinea], as it ends its short-term lease with Air Niugini. TF-LLX arrived at HNL this afternoon as ICE8918, and will continue onto SEA, then KEF. It had been wet-leased from November 9th to the 26th to operate the POM-SYD-POM [ANG1/2] run.

29311 was originally delivered to Iberia in September 2000, leased from BBAM, as EC-HIU "Colombia". In November 2006, BBAM leased this 757-256 to RAK Airways as A6-RKA, until early 2011. During that time, it was sub-leased to Atlasjet from June 2007 to October 2009; Ariana Afghan Airlines from February to October 2010; and Sun Air from October to December 2010. Icelandair took delivery of TF-LLX in May 2011, and had Blended Winglets installed in May 2012.

Icelandair's TF-FIW

Icelandair's 757-27B (c/n 24838, l/n 302), wearing the Captain's Choice special livery, has made a stop at HNL from HIR [Honaira, International Airport, Guadalcanal] as ICE1206. It will stay for a day or two before continuing onto DEN.

Icelandair's TF-FIW

Icelandair's Abercrombie & Kent 757-27B logojet TF-FIW "Búrfell" (c/n 24838, l/n 302) has made a stop from KEF [Keflavik, Iceland], via MSP and LAX, as ICE1404.

Abercrombie & Kent is a luxury travel company based in Cheltenham, United Kingdom, and the Icelandair 757-27B is outfitted in a VIP cabin layout.

24838 was originally delivered to Air Holland in August 1990 as PH-AHL. Three months later, it was acquired by Condor as D-ABNX. In February 2000, it was acquired by Icelandair as TF-FIW; and has been leased to Aeromar (May-July 2002), Loftleidir Icelandic (January 2004 - April 2007, and subleased to Blue Line from May-October 2005), Yakutia Airlines as VP-BFI (April 2007 - March 2013), and Air Niugini (May-September 2013). After its return, TF-FIW wore the Icelandic livery. Since 2017, it has been the Abercrombie & Kent jet.

Samoa Airways To Lease A 737MAX

CH-Aviation reports that Samoa Airways will lease a 737MAX from the Icelandair Group, and plans to launch operations beginning in November. Icelandair has 16 MAXs on order.

Icelandair 757

An Icelandair 757 visited HNL today, October 11, for a fuel stop. This aircraft is being used on an around-the-world tour for Abercrombie & Kent. The tour started in LAX and arrived in HNL as ICE1440. The flight arrived around 12:45 and was scheduled to leave around 14:00 for PPT. However, it looks like it left around 16:20. Not sure of the registration, but apparently the fuselage is all-white with Abercrombie & Kent titles and the tail is a dark blue with a white "&".

Sorry, but no pictures of it in HNL.
