Conair's C-GVFK

Conair's RJ85 Aerial Firefighter, C-GVFK "Hunter" (msn E2268, f/n 164), is ferrying back to YXX from BQB. It departed BQB on 02 April, and is making stops at AVV, BNE, HIR, MAJ, HNL, OAK, and YVR. Its stop at HNL is tonight.

Conair's C-GVFK (msn E2268, f/n 164) is returning to its base at YXX, after its deployment for the Australian summer fire season. This RJ85 aerial firefighter is ferrying from BNE to YXX, via HIR, MAJ, HNL, and OAK. It's making an overnight stop at HNL tonight.

ConAir's Avro RJ85 fire fighting aircraft, C-GVFK (msn E2268) will be making a stop at HNL from YXX, via OAK. It's on its way Down Under for the Australian summer fire fighting season, wearing a new tail number, 164.

Conair's C-GVFK Returns

After another Summer Fire Season in Australia, Conair's C-GVFK (s/n E2268, l/n 391) is flying back to home base Abbotsford (CYXX/YXX) in Canada. The RJ-85 flew in from it's Summer base of Avalon (YMAV/AVV), in Victoria, Australia via Brisbane (YBBN/BNE),  Honiara International (AGGH/HIR, former Henderson Field) in the Solomon Islands, and Marshall Islands International (PKMJ/MAJ) before landing last night in Honolulu.

Conair's C-GVFK

Conair Aviation's RJ85 firebomber, C-GVFK (msn E2268, t/n 391), is making a stop at HNL as it heads to Australia for its summer forest fire fighting efforts. It's flying from YXX, and has made stops at OAK and HNL.

E2268 was originally delivered to Lufthansa Cityline in October 1995 as D-AVRH. In March 2012, Falko Regional Aircraft acquired it as G-OCLH. Aerial firefighters Aero-Flite acquired the RJ85 in December 2015 as N223AC. Conair acquired it this past February as C-GVFK.

Conner's firefighting RJ85, N355AC (msn E2293), is returning to CYXX [Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada] after its stint in Australia. It stopped through HNL in December 2014 on its way Down Under.

Aero-Flite's RJ-85

Aero-Flite is sending one of their 3 firefighting capable Avro RJ-85s to Australia in anticipation of their upcoming fire season. N355AC (msn E2293) arrived from Oakland International this afternoon, and will most likely continue Down Under to CNS (via MAJ and HIR) after an overnight stay. It will be based at CNS, during its assignment.

The Aero-Flite RJ-85s' were converted to carry fire retardant solution in an external configuration by British Columbia based company, Conair. Before being converted, N355AC was originally delivered to Lufthansa Cityline in September, 1996 as D-AVRN and their it flew until it was retired in late 2011.

Conair equipment has been caught in HNL in the past. A pair of converted Convair CV-580s' made the trip to the land down under in December 2010 and transited back through on their way home to British Columbia in April, 2011.
