In an interview with Aviation Week, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg announced that both the 737-7 and the 737-10 are on-track to be certified by the FAA by the end of this year. Once certified, Boeing can begin to work on the backlog of 1,200 737-10s, and 332 737-7s on order. Boeing is also close to having the 777-9 certified as well.
Regarding airlines in the Pacific Rim, for the 737-7, only Ruili Airlines has two on order; and for the 737-10, these airlines have them on order: Virgin Australia (13), Skymark Airlines (3), Lion Air Group (50), Malaysia Airlines (12), Okay Air (3), Donghai Airlines (10), and Vietjet Air (106).
