Antonov Airlines' An-225 "Mriya", UR-82060 (c/n 19530503763, l/n 01-01), is making a stop at HNL from OAK, to deliver FEMA relief supplies to Guam, after is was hit by Typhoon Manghut. It's making the flight as ADB2586. This is the third time since 2005, that the massive An-225, has made a stop at HNL.

Ruili Airlines is taking delivery of B-1186 (c/n 60466, l/n 7032) today. This 737-8ME, leased from CDB, is making its delivery flight from BFI as RLH1186, and will make an two-night stop at HNL.

Jiangxi Air's B-1270

Jiangxi Air is taking delivery of B-1270 (c/n 63691, l/n 7052) today. This 737-85C is making its delivery flight from BFI as CJX8989, and will make an overnight stop at HNL.

Rice Owls Team Charter

The Rice University Owls football team has chartered a Sun Country Airlines 737-800 for its road trip to HNL to play the University of Hawai‘i Rainbow Warriors on Saturday. N821SY "Lake Mille Lacs" (c/n 39952, l/n 5217, f/n 821), a 737-8FH, is making the flight from HOU [William Hobby International Airport, Houston, Texas] to HNL (via LAX) as SCX8608. The team will return to HOU (via LAX) after the game as SCX8609.

United Airlines To Invest $200M In Hawai‘i Airports

United Airlines announced that they will invest $200 million over the next ten years, to improve their infrastructure at all five airports that they serve.

Northwest Airlines' N674US

Our September edition of "HNL RareBirds Classic" goes back to September 2004, and Northwest Airlines' 747-451, N674US "City of Shanghai" (c/n 30269, l/n 1232, f/n 6314) seen above at Gate 12.

N674US was delivered to Northwest Airlines in October 1999, leased from Debis AirFinance. In 2005, it was sold to AerCo, and its leased transferred. In the summer of 2006, N674US was painted in the mica grey Northwest livery. When Northwest and Delta Air Lines merged, N674US was transferred to the Delta fleet. In April 2009, it was painted in the Delta livery. In June 2001, it was placed into storage at MZJ, and was returned to service a year later with a new cabin configuration. N674US was retired in January 2018, and presently sits in storage at MZJ.

United Airlines Brings Home LLWS Champs

United Airlines' flight UAL363, EWR-HNL, brought home the Honolulu All-Stars team that won Sunday's Little League World Series. N78060 (c/n 29455, l/n 866, f/n 0060), a 767-424ER arrived this afternoon with a true Hawaiian blessing of rain showers as the flight landed and taxied to Gate F2. The team was greeted by local politicians, fans, and the media as they walked out of the Jetway. A welcoming ceremony was held in the Diamond Head Tour Group area.

Centurion Cargo's N987AR

Centurion Cargo's MD-11F, N987AR "Petete" (c/n 48427, l/n 471), is making another FEMA relief supply flight from MIA (via DFW) as KYE551 today. It will depart for ATL later this afternoon, with the same flight number.

Antonov Airlines' UR-82029

Antonov Airlines' UR-82029 (c/n 19530502630, l/n 02-10), an An-124-100, has brought in relief supplies for Hurricane Lane from DFW (via LAX), as ADB2574. It will depart for OAK as ADB274F, later this morning.

Hurricane Lane Aircraft Evacuations

As Hurricane Lane pushes slowly northward, and has cleared the east side of Hawai‘i Island, airlines in Honolulu have ferried their aircraft to JRF and ITO to ride out the storm.

Going to Hilo, Hawaiian Airlines ferried some of their 717-200 fleet; ‘Ohana by Hawaiian ferried their ATR42 and ATR72 fleet; Aloha Air Cargo ferried their 737-300 fleet; and TransAir ferried their 737-200.

Going to Kalaleloa Airport, Kamaka Air and Makani Kai Air moved their C208s; and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters moved their EC-130 fleet; where they were placed into Hangar 111.
