HAL8981/8982

On Wednesday, February 2nd, Hawaiian Airlines had a flight to JRF (John Rodgers Field, Kalaeloa, HI) as HAL8981 using one of their 767-300s. The aircraft returned to HNL from JRF as HAL8982 this morning.

My guess is that the aircraft may have been used for filming purposes.

Yes, I have a friend who is a production assistant and I know they were shooting out there midweek.

Sorry, this probably isn't the right place to put this but does anyone know whether the two Omega tanks which headed to Cairns Australia were dragging jets with them or anything? Thanks for the help from an Australian spotter!!!

I have been informed that the HA 763 went to JRF for its rudder to be repainted (see 15 Jan 2010 post).
