Thank you for posting these pictures. What a sight to have this aircraft and the Emirates from the previous posts in Hawai'i...The World is getting smaller indeed...

Was this a regularly scheduled flight or a diversion? Anyone know?

I was one of the pilots of this aircraft. We were enroute from LAX to MEL when we had to divert to HNL due to a medical emergency onboard. One of the passengers became gravely ill. After one hour and fifty minutes on the ground at HNL we departed for Australia and eventually landed at SYD. We could not continue to MEL because we ran out of duty hours.

Great photos. It was a beautiful sight departing from runway 8R with Diamond Head in front of us.

Nice pics and fantastic to see it in HNL. I hate to say that it's not a big deal to see the A380, but I see a ton of them in SIN and rode in one recently from SIN-HKG. It's an amazing machine. After takeoff, it was so quiet in the upper deck coach compartment, it felt like a quad engine failure. Well done Airbus!

A friend and I flew to Melbourne at the end of February--she was on QF 0094 on 2/26, and I was on it two days later. My flight, albeit long, was completely uneventful. I was shocked to hear of her ordeal when I arrived in Melbourne. The irony of it is that she'd been considering a layover in HNL but had decided against it. :) Apparently Qantas had other plans.

@Moku pics-yo it is a big deal to see a A380 land in HNL! A380 can actually land at HNL is a big thing. At least now people got answers to if an A380 can land in HNL. Historic moment.

two days ago I was on a QF094 A380 flight from LAX to Melbourne airport and we were passed half way when one of the passengers had a heart attack and we had to turn around and land in Honolulu. I would really appreciate any information on this. Thanks~ Madison
