Sriwijaya Air's PK-CLT

Jet Test is ferrying Sriwijaya Air's PK-CLT "Emilio" (c/n 27991, l/n 248) from CGK to MCI, via GUM and HNL. This 737-8K5, flying as JTN78, is making an overnight stop at HNL, as it's being returned to lessor DVB Bank.


27991's History:
Apr 1999: Delivered to Hapag-Lloyd as D-AHFK.
Apr 2005: Rebranded as Hapagfly.
Jan 2007: Rebranded as TUIfly.
Dec 2007: Leased to CanJet, returned in May 2008.
Jun 2008: Leased to Travel Service Hungary as HA-LKC to Oct 2009.
Oct 2009: Sold to AerCap and leased back.
Dec 2009: Subleased to CanJet, returned to TUIfly in Jun 2010.
Aug 2011: "Hannover 96" decal applied.
Nov 2012: Withdrawn from service, returned to AerCap.
Mar 2013: Leased to Sriwijaya Airlines as PK-CLT "Emilio".
2017: Sold to DVB Bank, and lease transferred.
2018: Painted into current livery.

Sriwijaya Air's PK-CLC Crash

Sriwijaya Air's 737-524, PK-CLC "Citra" (c/n 27323, l/n 2616), crashed several minutes after takeoff from CGK. The 737, flying as SJY182 [CGK-PNK], plunged from over 10,000' to the ocean. All 62 souls aboard perished in the crash.

PK-CLC was a 26-year-old originally delivered to Continental Airlines as N27610. In April 2012, N27610 ferried through HNL on its way to CGK to join the Sriwijaya fleet.

Sriwijaya Air's PK-CMF


Sriwijaya Ảir is ferrying PK-CMF "Kemurnian" (c/n 32885, l/n 1147) from CGK to MZJ, via GUM and HNL. This 737-86Q is being ferried by Jet Test as JTN347.

32885 was originally purchased by Bouillion Air Services, then leased to Hainan Airlines in June 2002 as B-2675. It was sold to Aviation Capital Group in June 2005, transferred, and painted in the 2007 livery. B-2675 was returned to ACG in August 2014. Three months later, it leased to Sriwijaya Air as PK-CMF. from March 2017 to March 2019, it was a logojet for MXGP of Indonesia.

Sriwijaya Air's 2-AERK

Sriwijaya Air is returning its former PK-CMW "Bersyeba" (c/n 30033, l/n 1149) to AerCap. This 737-83N is now wearing an Isle of Man registration of 2-AERK, and Jet Test is making the ferry flight. Its ferrying from XSP to MZJ, via SZB, GUM, and HNL, as JTN183.

30033 was originally purchased by ILFC, and leased to American Trans Air (then ATA Airlines) in June 2002 as N323TZ. It was returned to ILFC in April 2008 as ATA closed its doors. Four months later, it was leased to Garuda Indonesia as PK-GEG. In May 2014, it was acquired by AerCap, and the lease was transferred, until June 2016. That October, it was leased to Sriwijaya Air as PK-CMW, and flew with the airline until November 2019. A month later, it was flown to XSP for storage.

Sriwijaya Air's PK-CMJ

Sriwijaya Air's PK-CMJ "Kesayangan" (c/n 28381, l/n 250) is making a ferry flight from CGK to VCV, via BIK, MAJ, and HNL, as JTN9215. It's being returned to its lessor, Aircastle.

28381 was originally delivered to Air Europa in May 1999 as EC-HBL, under lease from Itochu. In June 2011, it was leased to Orenair as VQ-BLW. In June 2015, it was leased to Sriwijaya Air as PK-CMJ, and withdrawn from service in October 2019.

Sriwijaya Air's PK-CML

Sriwijaya Air is taking delivery of PK-CML "Gaharu" (c/n 30636, l/n 768), and the 737-8Q8 is flying as SJY1003. It arrived this evening from GYR.

30636 was originally delivered to ILFC, and leased to Mandarin Airlines [AE/MDA] in February 2001 as B-16805. In October 2003, it was sub-leased to China Airlines with the same registration, until it was returned to ILFC in early 2009. In May 2009, it was leased to GOL Transportes Aéreos as PR-GIX. It was also sold to AerCap in May 2014, and the lease continued until September 2015, where it was placed into storage at GYR.

Sriwijaya's PK-CKC

Jet Test & Transport is ferrying Sriwijaya Air's PK-CKC "Agung" (c/n 26285, l/n 2416) from CGK to ROW (via BIK, MAJ, JRF, and OAK), as JTN5130, and is making its stop at JRF. The 737-4Q8 was under lease from Boeing Capital, and now being returned.

26285 was originally purchased by ILFC, and leased to Carnival Airlines in January 1993 as N402KW. From May 1995 to October 1995, it was sub-leased to Pegasus Airlines. In May 1998, it was leased to Air Europa as EC-GUO. In January 2006, ILFC sold 26285 to Boeing Capital, and was leased to Futura as EC-JNU. In May 2009, it was leased to Sriwijaya Air as PK-CKC, and remained until this past September, where it was withdrawn from use, and stored at CGK.

Sriwijaya's PK-CMP

Sriwijaya Air is also taking delivery of PK-CMP "Keinginan" (c/n 41843, l/n 5190) today. The 737-9LFER, leased from AerGo Capital, is making its delivery flight from BFI as SJY1001, and will overnight at HNL.

41843 was originally to intended to be leased to UTAir as VQ-BGK in November 2014, but was not taken up, and stored at BFI.

Sriwijaya's PK-CMO

Sriwijaya Air is taking delivery PK-CMO "Keberkahan" (c/n 41712, l/n 5336) today. The 737-9LFER, leased from AerGo Capital, is making its delivery from BFI as SJY1002, and will overnight at HNL.

41712 was originally to intended to be leased to UTAir in March 2015, but was not taken up, and stored at BFI unpainted.

N59630

N59630 (c/n 27534, l/n 2726) is making a stop through JRF, as it makes its ferry flight from GYR to CGK, to join the Sriwijaya Air fleet.

N59630 was originally delivered to Continental Airlines (f/n 630) in May 1995 under lease from GECAS. It was transferred to the United Airlines fleet after the 2010 merger was completed (f/n 0630). It was withdrawn from the United fleet in May 2013.

N62631

Here's an interesting one ... a JRF RareBird!

A former United Airlines 737-524, N62631 (c/n 27535, l/n 2728, f/n 0631), is made an overnight stop at JRF, instead of HNL. FlightAware shows that the 737, bound for Sriwijaya Airlines, arrived from ONT last evening, and departs for TRW (Bonriki International Airport, Tarawa, Republic of Kiribati) this morning. The ferry flight originated in GYR, and will terminate at CGK (via ONT, JRF, TRW, and BIK).

N62631 was originally delivered to Continental Airlines with the f/n 631, in June 1995. Blended Winglets were installed in December 2008. It was withdrawn from service in May 2013.

N18622

Another former United Airlines 737-524, N18622 (c/n 27526, l/n 2669), is making its way toward Indonesia to join the Sriwijaya Air fleet.

N18622 was originally delivered to Continental Airlines in December 1994, and assigned the fleet number 622. In 2008, N18622 had Blended Winglets™ installed. When Continental merged with United in 2010, N18622 was transferred in with a new fleet number, 0622.

N19621

Another former United Airlines 737-524, N19621 (c/n 27334, l/n 2661, f/n 0621), is making its way to Indonesia to join the Sriwijaya Airlines fleet, under lease from Well Fargo Bank Northwest. It arrived from MCC yesterday, and was scheduled to depart today for MAJ.

N13624

Another former United Airlines 737-524 is making its way to Indonesia to join the Sriwijaya Air fleet. N13624 (c/n 27528, l/n 2675, f/n 0624), owned by GECAS, is making its delivery flight from IAH to CGK (via SAT, MCC, HNL, MAJ, and BIK). It arrived last evening, and is scheduled to depart in a few hours of this posting.

N13624 was originally delivered to Continental Airlines in February 1995.

N14604

A former United Airlines 737-524, N14604 (c/n 27317, l/n 2576), is making its way to CGK, from SAT (via MCC, HNL, MAJ, and BIK) to join the Sriwijaya Air fleet.

It was originally delivered to Continental Airlines in February 1994, and transferred to United after the mega-merger.

Sriwijaya's PK-CLQ

A former JetLite [S2/JLL] (India) 737-800, has been registered as PK-CLQ (c/n 29050, l/n 444), and is on its ferry flight from the mainland to Indonesia to join the Sriwijaya fleet. It's on the Bradley Pacific ramp, wearing the JetLite livery and tail logo, but without titles (above photo). This would make Sriwijaya's second 737 delivery in four days.

29050 was originally delivered to Tombo Aviation in December 1999 as N8253V. Later the same month, it was acquired by Air Sahara [S2/RSH] (India) as VT-SIK. When Air Sahara was bought out by rival Jet Airways [9W/JAI] in 2007, the airline was renamed as JetLite, and VT-SIK was absorbed into the JetLite fleet. The aircraft was also acquired by the Aviation Capital Group (ACG), and leased back to JetLite. It was returned to AGC in February 2012 as N905AG. The Blended Winglets were added after its return to ACG

N16617

Another former United Airlines 737-524, N16617 (c/n 27330, l/n 2648), is making its way to Indonesia to join the Sriwijaya Air fleet under lease from GECAS. The ferry flight originated from HOU, and made stops at SAT and MCC, before crossed the Pacific yesterday. It will continue onto to MAJ, and BIK, before arriving at CGK. N16617 is seen above on Taxiway C, earlier this morning, as it taxies out for departure to MAJ.

N17614

Another former United Airlines 737-524 is being ferried to Indonesia to join the Sriwijaya Air fleet. N17614 (c/n 27327, l/n 2634) is being flown from IAH to SZB (via SAT, LAX, HNL, MAJ, and BIK). Its stop at HNL lasted only a few hours for fuel.

N14613

N14613 (c/n 27326, l/n 2633), a former United Airlines 737-524, is making its way from SAT to CGK today. It was sold to Wells Fargo Bank Northwest, and will be leased to Sriwijaya Air. It will make a brief fuel stop at HNL from its segment from LAX, before it continues onto MAJ.

N14613 was delivered to Continental Airlines in July 1994, as f/n 613 . It had Aviation Partners Blended Winglets installed in July 2008, and was transferred into the United fleet after the merger as f/n 0613.

N17620

A former United Airlines 737-524, N17620 (c/n 27333, l/n 2660, UAL f/n 0260), is making its way from EWR to CGK, destined for the Sriwijaya Airlines [SJ/SJY] fleet. It began its journey on May 9th, and has made stops at MSY, IAH, OAK, LIH, and HNL so far. This 737-524 has been fitted with Aviation Partners Boeing Blended Winglets (in September 2009). It arrived at HNL this afternoon from LIH.

This 737-524 is seen above on HNL's South Ramp, with its United titles and most of the tail logo painted over, the next morning, awaiting its next leg to MAJ.

N17620 was originally delivered to Continental Airlines in February 1995, under lease from GECAS. It continued on with United Airlines following the merger of the two carriers. It was returned to GECAS two weeks ago, and now headed to Indonesia, its the second of a dozen 737-500s bound to replace Sriwijaya's 737-200s.

N17620 departed for MAJ this morning, but returned to HNL after reaching waypoint MCFLY, due to a maintenance issue.

It finally departed for MAJ and BIK today.

27333 was re-registered as PK-CLD.
