In a Honolulu Star-Advertiser article (reprinted in skift.com), the US Department of Transportation gave Mesa Airlines' go! a very low rating for their on-time performance, as a number of their inter-island flights were delayed or cancelled.
The government report says the airline's on-time record is one of the poorest in the industry.
The airline also complains that Hawaiian does not help them out with pax on cancelled flights, neither did Aloha (when they were in business). In the mainland, airlines help out Mesa because they have RJ contracts with the majors. Here in Hawai‘i, it's not that way.
