Beginning October 2015, Delta Air Lines will resume the MSP-HNL service that was terminated in 2011, following its merger with Northwest Airlines. Delta will use their 767-300ERs for this daily service.
The MSP-HNL route had been a staple of Northwest Airlines (which was headquartered in Minneapolis), that had been operated with their DC-10s and 747-200s. After its merger with Delta, it was decided to cancel that route.
