Just saw N9796N today by Magnum Helicopters. Wasn’t aware that it had been sold. Would love to hear that she’s back in the sky again. I used to stop whatever I was doing and watch her take off when I worked K9 Explosives Detection at PHNL

The wings, tail section, and engines have already been shipped to Dallas. Just waiting to ship the fuselage.

I saw this plane in Molokai years ago. I always wondered where she is now, so I'm glad i stumbled across this information. Im also glad that someone is going to restore this gem.

I flew this lovely lady back in the early nineties from Phnl to Tarawa then on to Pognpei. Our regular runs were Guam Saipan, Chuck, and back. Occasionally Woleiai and even Enewetak…She always took care of us. Best memories of my life !

Would love to hear that story as we picked it up in PHNL for our operation in Micronesia!
