Asia Pacific Airlines Stores N922TS

After flying the USPS contract flights between ONT and GSO, as MGE710/711, for the past several months, Asia Pacific Airlines is placing N922TS (c/n 24845, l/n 300) into storage at SFB. This 757-260F was flown from ONT to SFB today. It's not known how long it will be in storage.

Bonza's VH-UJT

Australia's new start-up airline, Bonza, is taking delivery of their first 737-8, VH-UJT "Shazza" (c/n 62533, l/n 7722), leased from SMBC. It's making its delivery flight from BFI to MEL, via HNL and NAN, as AB1. This 737-8, built in September 2019, was to be leased to LOT Polish Airlines as SP-LVO, but not taken up. Four more LOT 737-8 NTUs are being readied for delivery to Bonza.

LATAM Cargo's N564LA

Nomadic Aviation is ferrying LATAM Cargo's N564LA (c/n 40593, l/n 1038) from QPG to MIA, via HNL as OMD247. This 767-316ERF stopped through HNL this past March on its ferry flight to QPG.

Elan Express is ferrying N565WW (c/n 30565, l/n 802), a 767-3BGER, owned by Northwest Aviation Leasing, from VCV to QPG (via ONT and HNL) for freighter conversion.

Sep 2000: Delivered to Balair as HB-IHW.
Jan 2002: Sold to Fortress Transportation (FTAI), and leased to Ethiopian Airlines as ET-ALH.
Jan 2006: Painted in the current livery.
Sep 2012: Painted in the United Nations livery, and operated for the UN by Ethiopian.
Aug 2020: Returned to FTAI registered as N565WW, and stored at GYR.
Aug 2021: Ferried to VCV for storage.

Super Air Jet's PK-SJR

Super Air Jet is taking delivery of their next A320-232, PK-SJR (msn 3457). This leased white-tail from Avolon, is flying from TUS to CGK (via HNL, MAJ, and BIK) as SJV2.

3457's History:
Apr 2008: Delivered to IndiGo as VT-INS, under lease from Allco Aviation.
Jan 2011: Sold to HKAC, and lease transferred.
Jan 2016: Sold to Avolon, and lease transferred.
Feb 2020: Withdrawn from service, and stored at TUS as OE-IGV.

Batik Air Malaysia's 9M-LRJ

Batik Air Malaysia is taking delivery of their second 737-8 in five days, with 9M-LRJ (c/n 43018, l/n 7794). It's making its delivery flight from BFI as MXD1, and will overnight at HNL.

Lion Air's PK-LKL

Lion Air is returning PK-LKL (c/n 38683, l/n 4236) to its lessor, Aircastle. This 737-9GPER is ferrying from BTH to SBD (via GUM and HNL) as LNI7001.

This is the first of four additional 737-9GPERs that will be leased to Delta Air Lines by Aircastle.

Japan Airlines is ferrying JA751J (c/n 26754, l/n 458) from HND to MHV, via HNL. This 777-346 is flying as JAL8132. Reports say that this 777 will be parted out, then scrapped.

Pembroke Leasing is delivering VP-BJT (c/n 30150, l/n 3429) to FlyBondi [Argentina]. This 737-8U3 is flying from CGK to BYH for pre-delivery maintenance, with stops at GUM, HNL, and SDM. It will be registered as LV-KEH after delivery.

The Bank of Utah is ferrying N109DP (c/n 33421, l/n 887) from MZJ to PVG (via PHX, HNL and GUM) for freighter conversion, then lease to SF Airlines. This 767-33AER is making an overnight stop at HNL, and is a homecoming of sorts, as it began its service with Hawaiian Airlines.

Asia Pacific Airlines Acquires N931AB

Asia Pacific Airlines is acquiring N931AB (c/n 30339, l/n 896) from UMB Bank. This 757-231 was also ferried from BYH to SFB. This is also Asia Pacific's first 757 registered with a Hawai‘i address, as the other four are registered with a Guam address.

Dec 2001: Transferred to the American Airlines fleet (f/n 5WD) following the merger with TWA.

Icelandair's TF-FIC

Icelandair's TF-FIC "Magni" (c/n 30735, l/n 931), is making a stop at HNL on an around the globe private charter flight for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The flight, ICE1932, originated from HAM, and has made stops at YQX, YXY, KOA, and HNL. It will return to KOA later today.

This 757 is all white, except for the large Albert Ballin titles. He was the founder of Hapag (of Hapag-Lloyd), which was a shipping company that was based in Hamburg.

ANA'S Flying Honu Returns

All Nippon Airways is resuming their Airbus A380 service between NRT and HNL (ANA184/183) today. The ANA184/183 will operate only on Fridays and Saturdays from today until October 29th. JA381A "Lani" (msn 262) is seen above returning to NRT.
