Alliance Airlines' N258JB

Alliance Airlines is taking delivery of N258JB (msn 19000047). This special-liveried ERJ-190AR is being delivered by Southern Cross International from SJO to ROK, with stops at SDM, KOA, MAJ, and BNE, as SXI2552. This special livery is dedicated to Australian Formula 1 three-time world champion driver Sir Jack Brabham, and the 60th anniversary of his 1966 championship.

This ERJ-190AR is making its delivery flight, flown by Southern Cross International, from SJO to ROK, via SDM, OAK, KOA, MAJ, and BNE, as SXI2542. It's making its overnight stop at KOA tonight. It will receive its Australian registration, VH-A2L, after it's delivered. N247JB is seen above arriving at ROK on 22 October.

Southern Cross International is flying N274JB (msn 19000082) from MCN to ROK, with stops at OAK, KOA, MAJ, and BNE, as SXI2536. This ERJ-190AR is headed to join the Alliance Airlines' fleet, but not known if it has been painted in Alliance's livery. N247JB will overnight at KOA tonight. It will receive its Australian registration, VH-A2S, after it's re-painted. This ERJ-190 was photographed after it arrived at ROK.

Alliance Airlines Adjusts E190 Deliveries

Australia's Alliance Airlines has adjusted its deliveries of the remaining ERJ-190ARs they purchased from AerCap, with all deliveries completed by June 2026. Four of the remaining E190s will be painted in the QantasLink livery. Most of these deliveries will be through HNL by Southern Cross International.

Alliance Airlines is taking delivery of N292JB (msn 19000179). This ERJ-190AR, being flown by Southern Cross International as SXI2446, is making its delivery flight from SJO to BNE, via SDM, HNL, and BNE. It made its SJO-SDM segment yesterday, and making its SDM-HNL segment today with an overnight stop. It will receive its new registration, VH-A2T, after it completes its delivery flight.

Alliance Airlines' N183JB

Alliance Airlines is taking delivery of its first former jetBlue Airways ERJ-190ARs today. N183JB (msn 19000007) is being delivered by Southern Cross International as SXI2371. It's flying from MCN to ROK [Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia], via OAK, HNL, MAJ, and BNE; and will overnight at HNL. It will be repainted and receive its Australian registration, VH-OUL, after delivery.

N183JB is the first of 30 former jetBlue E190s that Alliance is acquiring from AerCap. 

N183JB's History:
Sep 2005: Delivered to jetBlue as N183JB "Azul Brasileiro" (f/n 183) with the "Harlequin" tail livery, under lease from GECAS.
Sep 2013: Tail livery repainted in the "Blueberries" design.
Nov 2021: Sold to AerCap, and the lease transferred.

Qantas And Alliance To End Buyout Proceedings

News.com.au reports that both Qantas Airways and Alliance Airlines announced that they will end the buyout proceedings, and continue as separate entities, with Qantas maintaining its 20% stake in Alliance. The 611 million AUD deal fell through as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission opposed the buyout in April 2023, and Qantas appealed the decision.

Qantas, however, will exercise an option for four more Alliance E190s to be used for QantasLink's regional service.

Alliance has plans to acquire 30 ERJ-190ARs from AerCap, and currently leased to jetBlue Airways, with deliveries beginning later this year, and lasting to 2025. Nothing was mentioned in report regarding these 30 E190s.

Alliance Airlines is taking delivery of N934QQ (msn 19000034), painted in the QantasLink livery. This ERJ-190AR is making its delivery flight from SJO to BNE, via SDM, OAK, HNL, and NAN. Its being flown by Southern Cross International as SXI2325, and will overnight at HNL from OAK.

Mar 2020: Withdrawn from service, and stored at SJO.
Jly 2021: Acquired by TVPX Trust Services for Alliance Airlines.

Qantas Link's N945UW

Alliance Airlines is taking delivery of their next ERJ-190AR, N945UW (msn 19000062), today. It's making its delivery flight from SJO to BNE (via SDM, OAK, HNL, and MAJ) as UTY9815.

19000062's History:
Dec 2006: Delivered to US Airways as N945UW (f/n 945).
Dec 2013: Transferred to the American Airlines following the merger with US Airways.
Mar 2020: Withdrawn from service, and stored at ROW.
Jan 2021: Acquired by Jetran.
Sep 2021: Acquired by TVPX Trust Services for preparation for Alliance Airlines.
Nov 2022: Ferried to SJO for repaint and caring configuration.


On a related note, Simple Flying reports that Alliance Airlines will purchase 30 ERJ-190s from AerCap, which are currently with jetBlue. This comes on the heels of an expanded wet-lease agreement between Alliance and Qantas.

Alliance Airlines To Acquire 30 ERJ-190ARs

Simple Flying reports that Alliance Airlines will acquire 30 ERJ-190ARs from AerCap, with the first jet to be delivered in September, and the last of the group to be delivered by the end of 2025. The 30 ERJ-190ARs are currently leased to jetBlue Airways. It's not known how many of the 30 will be designated for its own flights, or to operate for QantasLink.

Alliance Airlines is taking delivery of its next QantasLink-liveried ERJ-190AR, N947UW (msn 19000078) today. It's making its delivery flight from SJO to BNE (via SDM, HNL, and MAJ) as UTY9813.

Apr 2007: Delivered to US Airways as N947UW (f/n 947).
Dec 2013: Transferred to the American Airlines fleet (f/n 947) following the merger.
Mar 2020: Withdrawn from service, and stored at PIT, then ROW a month later
Jly 2021: Sold to Jetran.
