Garuda Indonesia A330s

Garuda Indonesia is returning a few A330-243s leased from Air Transat after the annual Hajj pilgrimage. C-GTSR (c/n 966) arrived earlier this morning as TSC901 from Adisumarmo International (WARQ/SOC), Indonesia. Sister-ships C-GTIS and C-GGTS will soon follow.

Air Transat Ferry Flights, Part 3

Another day, another two A330-243s returning to Air Transat. These are the fourth and fifth (of five) A330s leased by Garuda. C-GTSR (c/n 966) [top] and C-GGTS (c/n 250) [above] are both scheduled to return to Montréal-Trudeau Airport (YUL/CYUL), Quebec, Canada tonight as TSC908 and TSC909 respectively.

Air Transat Ferry Flights, Part 2

Earlier this morning, two more of Air Transat's A330s arrived from Adi Sumarmo International (SOC/WARQ) Java, Indonesia as TSC906 and TSC907, respectively. TSC906 flew in as C-GPTS (c/n 480) [top photo], a A330-243. TSC907 was C-GTSD (c/n 407) [above photo], a A330-343X. C-GPTS will depart later tonight for Toronto Pearson International (YYZ/CYYZ,), Ontario, Canada; and C-GTSD will depart for Montréal-Trudeau Airport (YUL/CYUL), Quebec, Canada.

Air Transat's C-GITS

Air Transat's C-GITS (msn 271) is seen above after arriving from Adi Sumarmo International (WARQ/SOC) Java, Indonesia as TSC905. For the past few years, Air Transat has leased out a few of its A330-243s to Garuda Indonesia for the Hajj pilgrimage.

This is the first of five A330s Air Transat leased to Garuda, that will be transiting through HNL from SOC to YUL or YYZ. C-GITS will be returning to YYZ.

Back in August 2001, C-GITS was involved in an in-flight emergency, as TSC236 (YYZ-LIS), when it ran out of fuel, and glided to land at Lajes AB, in the Azores Islands. 

Air Transat TSC60 And TSC80

The second and third of four Air Transat A330-243s sub-leased by Garuda Indonesia are on their way back to Canada. TSC60 is flying from WARQ / SOC (Adisumarmo Int'l [Adi Sumarmo Wiryokusumo]), and TSC80 is flying from WIDD / BTH (Hang Nadim). Both flights will stop at HNL for fuel later this afternoon.

TSC60 continued onto YUL after a brief fuel stop..

Air Transat Ferry Flight

One of four A330-243s sub-leased to Garuda Indonesia for Hajj flights, stopped over for fuel at HNL this morning. Flying as TSC70, the flight originated from Adisumarmo Int'l (Adi Sumarmo Wiryokusumo) [WARQ / SOC], and continued onto YYZ.

Air Transat's C-GTSD

Air Transat's (TS/TSC) C-GTSD is seen here on the ramp after arriving from Manila (RPLL/MNL) as TSC6 last night. Searches of this A330-342's registration only shows up as it belonging to an A310-304 (msn 547) that Air Transat stored late last year. This aircraft will continue on to Montreal-Trudeau (CYUL/YUL) tonight.


***Update 05.25.11***
Skyliners reports that this A330-300 is an A330-343X, and its msn is 407. The previous registration was TC-SGJ. This A333 was originally delivered to Dragonair as B-HYH, under lease from ILFC in June 2001. The leasing company then leased 407 to Saga Airlines (2J/SGX) of Turkey in August 2009 until December 2010. During its stint at SGX, it was sub-leased to Turkish Airlines and MIAT - Mongolian Airlines.

Garuda Indonesia A330-243

A rare visitor arrived this morning from Indonesia. Garuda Indonesia's C-GITS (c/n 271) arrived as flight TSC1004 from Sultan Hasanuddin International (WAAA). This aircraft is being leased from Air Transat. If you look closely, the tail has been painted over, while the winglets retain the star from Air Transat's livery.

Some of you might recall this aircraft's registration. On August 21 2001, C-GITS departed Toronto bound for Lisboa-Portela de Sacavém in Portugal While enroute, this aircraft ran out of fuel and had to make a dead stick landing at Terceira-Lajes AFB. Miraculously, none of the 306 people were lost in this incident. (Full Report)
