Garuda Indonesia's PK-GDC

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of PK-GDC (c/n 63386, l/n 8954) today. This 737-8, LEASED FROM BOC, is making its flight from BFI to CGK, via KOA and GUM, as GIA8201. It will overnight at KOA tonight. 

This 737 was originally going to be leased to Lynx Air as C-FFIK, but the airline shutdown in February 2024. Air Canada was going to lease it, but ended up backing out a few months ago. It was spotted at BFI as white-tail with the Lynx Air colors on the winglets a few weeks ago (above photo). It's not known if PK-GDC was painted in the Garuda livery.

Garuda Indonesia's N453AC

Garuda Indonesia is returning one of their 737-86Ns to lessor Aircastle. N453AC (c/n 37883, l/n 3463) is ferrying from KUL to CWF, via GUM,  HNL, and IAH.

Nov 2010: Delivered to Garuda Indonesia as PK-GFK, under lease from GECAS.

Mar 2013: Sold to CDB Aviation, and lease transferred.

Dec 2018: Sold to Aircastle, and lease transferred.

Oct 2020: Painted in the "Ako Pakai Masker" special livery.

Aug 2021:  Withdrawn from service, and stored at CGK.

Nov 2021: Ferried to KUL for storage.

Garuda Indonesia's N452AC

Garuda Indonesia is returning one of their 737-86Ns to lessor Aircastle. N452AC (c/n 36808, l/n 3505) is ferrying from KUL to CWF, via GUM,  HNL, and IAH.

Dec 2010: Delivered to Garuda Indonesia as PK-GFL, under lease from GECAS.

Mar 2011: Sold to CDB Aviation, and lease transferred.

Dec 2018: Sold to Aircastle, and lease transferred.

Aug 2021:  Withdrawn from service, and stored at CGK.

Dec 2021: Ferried to KUL for storage.

Garuda Indonesia's PK-GEP

Garuda Indonesia is returning PK-GEP (c/n 29931, l/n 1020) to its lessor, Avolon. This 737-8AS is ferrying from CGK to BYH [Blytheville, AR], via GUM, HNL and SDM. It left CGK as GIA9901, but has continued on the remaining segments as its registration.

Dec 2001: Originally delivered to Ryanair as EI-CSR.

Jan 2009: Bought by CIT Aerospace, and withdrawn from service.

Feb 2009: Leased to Garuda Indonesia as PK-GEP.

Jan 2015: Painted in to the current livery.

Apr 2017: Sold to Avolon, and lease transferred.

Aug 2021: Withdrawn from service.

Garuda Indonesia Cancels Remaining 737 MAX 8 Order

In the wake of the two 737 MAX 8 crashes, Garuda Indonesia announced that they will cancel the remaining 49 737 MAX 8s they have on order with Boeing. Only one 737 MAX 8, PK-GDA (pictured above), has been delivered in December 2017.

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of their first 737 MAX 8 today. PK-GDA (c/n 62093, l/n 6713) is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will overnight at HNL.

Garuda's PK-GNV

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of PK-GNV (c/n 41815, l/n 5716) today. The 737-8U3 is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop at HNL, before continuing onto TKK.

Garuda's PK-GNU

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of PK-GNU (c/n 41812, 5613) today. The 737-8U3 is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop at HNL, before continuing onto TKK.

Garuda's PK-GNT

Garuda Indonesia's PK-GNT (c/n 41806, l/n 5427) is the second of three 737-800s delivering through  HNL today. The 737-8U3 is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop at HNL before continuing onto TKK.

Garuda's PK-GNS

Garuda Indonesia's PK-GNS (c/n 41607, l/n 5385) wraps up this morning's 737-800 delivery flight grand slam. The 737-8U3 is making its delivery flight as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop before continuing on KSA.

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of PK-GNR (c/n 39955, l/n 5335) today. The 737-8U3, leased from SMBC Aviation Capital, is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop at HNL, before continuing onto TKK.

Garuda's PK-GNQ

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of PK-GNQ (c/n 39954, l/n 5284) today. The 737-8U3, leased from SMBC, is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011. It will make a brief fuel stop at HNL, then depart for TKK.

Garuda's PK-GNP

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of PK-GNP (c/n 41605, 5245) today. The 737-8U3 is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop at HNL, before continuing onto TKK.

Garuda Indonesia A330s

Garuda Indonesia is returning a few A330-243s leased from Air Transat after the annual Hajj pilgrimage. C-GTSR (c/n 966) arrived earlier this morning as TSC901 from Adisumarmo International (WARQ/SOC), Indonesia. Sister-ships C-GTIS and C-GGTS will soon follow.

Garuda Orders 50 737 MAX 8s

Boeing announced today that Garuda Indonesia has placed an order for 50 737 MAX 8s, four of which will be converted from an existing order for 737-800s.

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of their second 737-8U3 within the past seven days with PK-GNN (c/n 41270, l/n 5116). This GECAS-leased 737 is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop at HNL, before continuing onto KSA.

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of PK-GNO (c/n 41800, l/n 5109) this morning. The 737-8U3, leased from ILFC, is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel-stop at HNL, before conning onto to KSA.

Garuda Indonesia is taking delivery of their second 737-800 within the past ten days, with PK-GNL (c/n 41253, l/n 5078). The 737-86N, leased from GECAS, is making its delivery flight from BFI as GIA8011, and will make a brief fuel stop at HNL, before continuing onto PTKK.
